For $25 per night, this is quite a nice campground. The park is quite large, so you have to drive to get to the lake or the nature center. It’s also quite close to NYC if you’re up for a small trip to the Big Apple.

Other campers recommend visiting this park during the week or off-season since it’s quite popular. For a nightly rate of $40, you can have access to all amenities including hot showers. Other than that, your campground pass gives you access to the beautiful Seven President Oceanfront Beach, just 35 minutes away. At about the same distance, you’ll also find an amazing French Bakery which is perfect for treats for your whole family.

At this campground, try to book a waterfront site – it will make your trip a whole lot better. There is plenty of shade but beware of camp spots under the trees since there are usually some low hanging branches that might get in the way, If you’re a New Jersey resident, you can enjoy a discount and camp here for $18. Plus, there are electric hookups that will be useful when you need to recharge the batteries on your RV.

This is a clean and well-kept campground which offers activities for all family, including fishing and a playground for children. The restrooms are also well-maintained and the staff is friendly and welcoming. There are also trails if you’d prefer to hike rather than fish. Enjoy a quiet and peaceful stay at Brendan Byrne State Forest campground for only $25 a night.

Right off I-80, this campground is easily accessible while remaining quiet through the day and night. If you go off-season, you might not even run into other campers. It’s a small campground with all camping spots being shaded. The bathrooms are clean and there are hot showers available, so you’ll be comfortable throughout your stay. The nightly rate is $30.

Perfect for RVs, this campground offers a military discount – however, if you are not entitled to military discount, the price is still pretty reasonable at $22 a night. Camping spots are large and secluded enough to offer privacy to its visitors, and water and electric are included which is always a plus. It has plenty of trees that offer shade during the day time. However, bear in mind there is a 14-day parking limit if you’re camping at Mahlon Dickerson Reservation.

Located in the Skylands, this campground lies on one of the most beautiful areas of the New Jersey wilderness. All the sites are well maintained with the owners living on the premises, so they’ll be available at all times for any issue you might run into. You can visit the Lakota Wolf Preserve which is located in the camp area for a little bit of wildlife watching. From the campground, you can hike easily into the Delaware Water Gap.

At a short drive from Long Beach, this campground costs $58 per night but is well worth the price. The electric is pretty reliable as well as the wi-fi service. All amenities are clean and well-maintained, and they include a swimming pool, mini-golf, toilets and showers for everyone. The staff is friendly and helpful at all times. There is also easy access to stores. All these factors make the Long Beach RV Resort our favorite place for RV camping in New Jersey.

Twenty minutes away from Bushkill Falls, it makes for a great family getaway at a low price. The area is wooded and quite nice for a peaceful vacation, perfect for those who want to get away from busy holiday spots. The bathhouse is heated and all the amenities are clean and well-maintained.
